Cassandra Monique Batie known professionally as Andra Day is an American R&B and soul vocalist as well as songwriter and actress. The accolades she has received include a Grammy Award as well as the Children's and Family Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award. She has also been nominated for the Academy Award. She sang in churches and enrolled in The School of Creative and Performing Arts. As she graduated from the School of Performing and Creative Arts, Andra Day began to focus on contemporary R&B and pop, but she soon discovered her jazz-inspired soul influences were what she was attracted to. Kai Millard Morris recorded a concert of Day, and later gave her husband Stevie Wonder some of Day's songs. Motown legendary Adrian Gurvitz was introduced to Day by the Motown legend. Day's YouTube fan base grew rapidly after she teamed up along with Gurvitz, Jeffrey Evans and Buskin. She ultimately reached a deal with a major record label with Warner Bros. The song was immediately taken up by DJs who began broadcasting it to the radio. She then joined Warner Bros. Records. Adrian Gurvitz was the producer of her debut album Cheers to celebrate the fall. The song "Rise Up" became a global anthem within social justice movements. The album won two times for Grammys. This included Best R&B Album. The United States Versus Billie Holiday was her second studio album which was released in 2019. It was an album that was conceptually based on Billie Holiday's life. The United States against Billie Holiday came out in 2021. It was the same year she appeared in the film Holiday. Andi Matichak is a famous American actor. She started her career on the television series Orange Is the New Black and 666 Park Avenue and Blue Bloods. Her debut in film was when she appeared as Allyson in the horror series Halloween. Andi matichak was an American actor who was born in Framingham on 3rd May 1994.
